Season 2, Episode 243: Body Consciousness & Self-Acceptance

Today, Michael is joined by Michelle Hubbard, who you may remember from Season 1, Episode 27. Michelle is a Hendricks Institute certified coach as well as a graduate of their Leadership and Transformation program, and she is the author of the new book, Sour Notes, which you’ll hear a bit about in today’s show.

For our deep-dive discussion today, Michael and Michelle are going to dig into the issue of body image and self-acceptance. They will look at…

  • The influence of media on what is beautiful
  • How peer pressure impacts our personal image
  • The way what is considered beautiful has changed over centuries
  • Ways to practice greater self-acceptance and self-love
  • and more…

Interim 2015, Episode 216: Guided Meditation #31 with Michael Neeley

This episode of Consciously Speaking’s guided meditation series will be led by your host, Michael Neeley, as he takes you on a journey to expand your awareness, your space, and your consciousness.

“A human being is a part of the whole, called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.” ~ Albert Einstein
